Our Mission

Electr aims to increase civic engagement and education through a “Tinder-style” swiping format on dozens of different policy questions that match users with the politician that best reflects their beliefs. We employ a “Percentage Variable Weighting System”, modeled after the popular voter guide, ISideWith, to ensure our metric is accurate and nonpartisan.

Our Founders

Cyrus Naficy

Cyrus Naficy is a senior at Choate Rosemary Hall and is the lead programmer for their Advanced Robotics Concentration. He is interested in startups, tech, and venture capital. When he is not working on Electr, Cyrus enjoys researching budding startups, playing tennis, and rowing.

Nilan Kathir

Nilan Kathir is a senior at Choate Rosemary Hall and is in its signature JFK Program in Government and Public Service. His interests and work experience lie in those areas, and when he is not working on Electr, Nilan enjoys Model UN, editing the school newspaper, and rowing.

Malcolm Mahaney

Malcolm Mahaney is a senior at Choate Rosemary Hall and is the President of the Choate Finance & Investment Club. He is interested in startups, sustainable technologies, and the stock market. When he is not working on Electr, Malcolm enjoys playing basketball and going on hikes.

Elia Ahmadi

Elia Ahmadi is a Freshman at George Washington University majoring in International Affairs. Outside of Electr, Ahmadi is the vice-president of NYC Chess Connections, a free chess tutoring service for underprivileged students.
